Five players who are likely to move to the Premier League next season

James Rodriguez:

The Colombian is a brilliant attacking midfielder yet is struggling with game time issues at Real Madrid. It is recently reported that his relationship with manager Zinedine Zidane has gone sour in the last one month which should definitely instigate a move away from the Los Blancos. James was phenomenal in the 2014 World Cup, and a number of Premier League clubs in Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham are after his signature to help their team have a world class attacking midfielder in James next season.

Alexandre Lacazette:

The French striker has been absolutely brilliant for Lyon in the past three years. He has scored 83 goals this season in the last three years, similar to what Harry Kane has done in the Premier League. Lacazette was unlucky to miss out on the Euro squad for France, but nothing can be taken away from him. His abilities in front of the goal could be very helpful for any club and given he wants to play Champions League football now, clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea have shown their interest to sign the Frenchman.

Antoine Griezmann:

The Frenchman has been phenomenal with Atletico Madrid in the past few years. He has been so good that many pundits rate him as good as Ronaldo and Messi at times. At Atletico, Griezmann has struggled to win trophies recently and is very likely to move away this summer. Manchester United are heavily linked with Griezmann, and even though it will take a huge fee to get the Frenchman at Old Trafford, one can anticipate this move to happen this summer. The Premier League needs players of Griezmann’s quality, and it will be a delight seeing him play in England.

Arturo Vidal:

The Chilean was amazing at Juventus and the 2014 World Cup before he chose to join Bayern Munich. At Bayern, Vidal has done well but is yet to reach to his best. Liverpool are yet to fill the void left by Steven Gerrard, and in spite of Klopp’s experiment with Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum to replace Gerrard, Liverpool still seek that commanding midfielder at the heart of the pitch. Vidal can certainly help with that but given Liverpool might not qualify for the Champions League, it is tricky to expect Vidal to move to Liverpool.

Raphael Varane:

The football world lacks quality centre-backs currently, and in such a scenario, Varane proves to be a gem of a defender. His contract at Real Madrid runs till 2020, but he faces game time issues with Sergio Ramos and Pepe still present with the Los Blancos. It is very unlikely that Madrid would opt to sell him, but given how eager they are to sign goalkeeper David De Gea, they might include Varane in a swap deal with Manchester United. United desperately need a defender of Varane’s quality as it looks like a transfer that can happen given the circumstances.
